CAF America (Charities Aid Foundation of America)

CAF America is a global grantmaking organization assisting corporations, foundations, and individuals. We streamline the grantmaking process to eliminate risk and administrative burden. Through our work, we help donors support great causes by assisting them in making strategic, effective, and tax-advantaged grants internationally and domestically.American donors cannot give directly to foreign charitable organizations and obtain a tax deduction. As a US public charity, CAF America is able to accept funds from American donors who can then recommend that CAF America use those funds to support foreign charitable organizations.

CAF America conducts due diligence reviews for each recommended organization, or, CAF America advises strategies and vetted organizations that match a donor’s philanthropic goals. Donors make a gift to CAF America or establish a fund for ongoing grant management.

CAF America makes grants to eligible charitable organizations and monitors their operations. Grant recipients are required to submit annual reports detailing how funds were used.
